Country artist Dustin Lynch to perform April 1

On April 1, Campus Programming and Relations will host country artist Dustin Lynch as the spring concert headliner.
Doors open in Velzy Commons at 7 p.m. Up-and-coming country music duo The Brothers Osborne will be opening the show at 8 p.m. Lynch will headline the show at 9:15 p.m.
Currently, there are no more tickets to buy.
“We sold out after three weeks of having the tickets on sale,” Director of Campus Activities David Nevins said. “There is a possibility for us to get more from some of the members of the band later in the semester.”
The concert has been receiving praise on campus.
“I first started liking [Lynch] when he came out with ‘Cowboys and Angels’, but my favorite song right now is ‘Where It’s At’,” Kelly Menten, junior biology major, said.
“I like country a lot and I’m interested to see where [Lynch’s] career goes,” Ashlee Frey, senior english education major, said.
Lynch has been nominated for a number of awards including Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year in 2012, as well as the Top New Artist of the Year in 2014. His single “Where It’s At” has gone gold and “Cowboys and Angels” has gone platinum in the United States.
