Love at first swipe
There’s something great about modern day technology where all you have to do is swipe right or left to find your next lover, and let me tell you, I am all for it.
Just like anyone else, Tinder came into my life when I was lonely. It’s a magical moment when you swipe right and end up matching with someone. Then, when you get the first message from that cutie- it can really make your heart stop.
That is why I truly believe that Tinder is the modern day version of love letters.
“I one time got a message from someone asking me if I wanted to sit on their face! I was so flattered that he thought of me right away,” Mackessa Starbright, junior theater major said.
Some of my favorite messages that I have ever received are from people that just assume that I want to hook up with them. They don’t even say hello or anything! It is especially great when they don’t accept “no” as an answer and continue on trying to pursue me. It’s like they don’t even value me as a human being, but just someone that they can smash then dash. Being a woman in 2016 is truly a great thing.
“This guy that I have been talking to recently pointed out to me that my butt got a lot bigger in some of my pictures. I can’t believe that he noticed that detail about me. It really made think about my body for a little bit,” Starbright said.
Also, I personally love when a man that I match with asks me for my Snapchat username without even saying hello and sends me a dick pic right away without my consent. It’s like they can read my mind and knew that was exactly what I wanted to see at one o’clock in the afternoon.
“Sending a dick pic to a lady that you met on Tinder is truly a work of art. You have to decide what angle you’re going to take it at and if you should compare it to something,” sophomore business major Chad Bueller said. “I personally like to use my extended hand as a comparison. I feel like that really gets the ladies going.”
Having your Tinder bae come over for the first time can be a mixture of excitement and just down right nervousness. Sometimes you “Netflix and Chill” for a little bit, but it’s really when you sit in awkward silence for five minutes before one of you breaks down and says, “Are you ready to do this?” that you know you are in for a good time.
“I’m a gentleman, I always offer the girl my last blue Gatorade as she is leaving my place. I want her to feel respected so that she’ll hit me up again,” Bueller said.
If you are a lonely person and can handle some sexual harassment on a daily basis, I recommend that you download Tinder. It is truly something that everyone should be able to experience. I give this app 5/5 stars.

Ok guys read this. You need to listen to her. You can’t just throw a profile together and be obnoxious. You aren’t going to pick up anyone. I think its pretty crazy how the millennial generation and digital dating are changing how people interact. It is getting to the point that you can find a person that fits your exact specifications. I feel like this makes it even harder for men though. There are way more men on these apps than women. This means that for an average guy to standout his profile is going to have to be perfect. I have been reading a lot online and there are a ton of things I did not consider when making a profile. For example profile pic angles to maximize how your muscles look, ensuring your bio and pics make you look busy and interesting, and making sure my messages make her curious or evoke some kind of emotion. If any one else has trouble with this then I strongly recommend you go look for help through books or websites. I personally really like Modernmack.com stuff. He has good articles and recommends some good guides. If that isn’t your cup of tea then I would definitely keep looking online for help. Sorry for the rant. Just tired of seeing guys strike out and lose in the battle lol. Well good luck gents.
