Ok, hear me out. I’ve got this idea for a brand-new vampire story that I think is really gonna shake up the horror scene.
The story revolves around this guy named Johnny Harpers. He’s an Englishman who travels to Romania to sell real estate to a noble living in a castle. A bunch of townsfolk warn Harpers along the way, saying that he’s traveling somewhere dangerous, but he ignores their warnings like a complete buffoon and continues with his journey.
Harpers sees a bunch of weird, crazy and creepy things while he’s staying at the castle, but again, he’s a silly little guy and he doesn’t realize anything’s wrong until he finally discovers that the noble is actually a vampire named Drackblood. Drackblood ends up trapping Harpers in the castle until he departs for England on a ship.
Meanwhile, back in England, Harpers’ fiancée named Minnie is becoming good friends with this lady named Lucky, but unfortunately, Lucky suddenly begins to fall ill and passes away. This doctor and his mentor figure out that her death may be linked to Drackblood, and upon his arrival in an English port alongside a ship of mysteriously dead crew, Drackblood begins to cause more problems for the protagonists.
(Oh, Drackblood also brought along this slithering, babbling worm of a man named Redfelt. He’s the vampire’s familiar, and he does some stuff sometimes, too. I haven’t worked him into the plot yet, but I think he could end up being pivotal.)
When Harpers finally makes it back to England, he joins the group of people trying to stop this Drackblood guy from causing big problems across the country. Minnie starts to fall ill around the vampire just as Lucky did, but fortunately, the crew manages to hunt down and kill the vampire before anything more can go wrong.
That’s basically the gist of it. I was thinking about naming it after the vampire and calling it “Drackblood,” but I was also considering something like “Nozfurabu.” I don’t know. I’m still workshopping.
But hey, if anyone would like to pick this story up, I really think it could be something special!
