A man from Savannah, GA, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to the stalking of a woman and the use of an explosive in a felony offense on Jan. 13, 2023. The man was also ordered to pay $507,781 in restitution to the two victims of his bombing and three years of supervised release upon the completion of his sentence.
Stephen Glosser, 38, had, as his plea described, conspired to “shoot arrows into the victim’s front door, acquire and release a large python into the victim’s home to eat the victim’s daughter, acquire and mail dog feces to the victim’s home, acquire and mail dead rats to the victim’s home, to scalp the victim and to blow up the victim’s home.”
A special agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told news station WTOC that Glosser met the victim through a dating app, but no more details have been released on her relation to Glosser, nor any details about a definitive motive. Glosser had reportedly discovered the victim’s residence by utilizing internet searches and an image the victim had shared with him.
Neither of the victims were hurt in the explosion, with most of the damage being in the garage. After the explosion, Glosser had hired a cleaning crew to attempt to scrub evidence of bomb-making materials from his carpets.
Caleb Kinsey, 34, whom Glosser had lived and conspired with, is currently being held for prosecution on unrelated charges.
