My Favorite Lunch! (Owen’s Tuna Sandwich)
This sandwich is a great way to use up that bread sitting high up on your shelf that you haven’t used. Just be careful not to prepare the sandwich in an enclosed room without ventilation, because the smell of tuna is very strong. Make sure you have a bowl, fork and spoon handy for this one folks.
•2 slices preferred bread (suggestion: sourdough or honey wheat)
•1 can chunk light tuna in water
•3½ tablespoon real mayo
•¼ teaspoon garlic salt
(or equal part salt and garlic powder)
•½ teaspoon ground black pepper
•¾ teaspoon dried or fresh dill
•1 slice preferred deli cheese (do not use American cheese)
•1 good sized piece sandwich lettuce
Open and drain the water from a can the of tuna. Add the tuna to a bowl and shred with a fork. Then add mayo and mix seasonings into the tuna. Season to taste. After you have finished with the tuna, it is time to prepare the rest. Toast your bread of choice in a toaster until it becomes toast. Finally, it’s time to assemble the sandwich. First put the tuna on the bread, then put your lettuce and then add your cheese on top. En guete!
