With the Nov. 5 election fast approaching, presidential candidates have been campaigning both in person and on television in an attempt to persuade voters.
Donald Trump sat down for a town hall hosted by Harris Faulkner of the Faulkner Focus. This town hall was an all-woman audience and focused on reproductive rights and abortion rights. Trump claimed to be pro-IVF and said that some states were going too far with the abortion restrictions. This is counter to what he has said on the campaign trail when he boasted about taking down Roe v. Wade. He also talked about immigration and the “dangers” around sanctuary cities which he has come under fire for because of the misinformation both he and his running mate, J.D. Vance, have been spreading.
Kalama Harris, on the other hand, had an interview later that day on Fox News with Bret Baier for a Special Report. Until Trump, who was allowed to speak freely and interact with the audience, this Harris interview was tense with Baier interrupting Harris and making it very difficult to watch. This was so often Harris said “Let me finish” or “I’d like to finish” several times, especially when Harris was talking about immigration and the state of the border. They did cover other topics, but it was still a tense interview.
