I found Love at 7 AM
With a Good morning text and coffee made
The coffee was black and bitter
But it was kind and showed you cared
I found Love at 9:30 AM
With a student tripping
But another caught them and checked on them
It was clumsy but sweet
I found Love at 11:30 AM
With frantic hand waves in the lunchroom
And the moving of bags and trays
It was crowded but intimate
I found Love at 3 PM
With notes getting passed at a table
And double-checking math homework
It was tired and patience
I found Love at 6 PM
With a potluck a random dish
And half-full wine glass
It was chaotic and messy
I found Love at 7 PM
With cheers of victory over a winning turn
And groans of defeat in a game
It was loud and competitive
I found Love at 8 PM
With hugs and kisses goodbye
And promised to do it again
It is quiet but hopeful
I found Love at 9 PM
With a sink full of dishes
And a fridge full of leftovers
It was dirty and complete
I found Love at 10 PM
With an animated TV Show
And a warm blanket
It was simple and beautiful
