The polls are in! And it is a tie! Yes, you read that right, it is a tie! SO, what does this mean and what happens next? The candidates will split the term. President Trump will run the office for two more years to complete his presidency and Joe Biden will run the office the following two years, to complete the total length of one term.
While Trump is in his last two years, Biden will have the opportunity to work alongside him and incorporate his ideas, but Trump is the head boss for the first two years. Same goes for Biden. Trump will have the opportunity to work along side of Biden and incorporate his ideas, but Biden will be the head boss for the remaining two years.
Why is this important?
This has never happened before in American History. Ever! This is a new challenge that all Americans will have to face, especially the plural presidents. It will test them to work together and to be civil to one another. Maybe this is the end of the two-party system. Demo-public, combined into one party of the people, for the people.
How does the next election look?
As of now, the next election will be normal. Biden will have the chance to run against other candidates if he chooses to pursue it. There will still be political debates, ads and bribery. But most importantly, there will still be an election held by the voting people.
