Campus Programming and Relations hosted the annual Homecoming Variety Show on Oct. 16, from 7-10 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Center for the Arts.
“I love it! They never fail to make me laugh,” said Christi Krueger, junior business major.
18 teams from across campus participated. Most groups incorporated homecoming’s theme, “Plattevillians: The Battle Within,” into their performances. Five groups performed versions of PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” and two performed Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe.” The winner of the show was the Greek sorority Zeta Beta Chi with a skit about a super hero zebra.
The audience was given the opportunity to get to know the homecoming king and queen candidates at the variety show. The candidates helped host the event and provided comedic relief between acts.
“It was fun hosting with the other students on homecoming court,” said Sarah Kessler, court member and senior media studies major.
