This book is not for everyone, as it covers heavy topics surrounding mental health. However, I cannot say enough good things about this book. A new spin on the classic coming- of-age story, it has depth and character development and speaks real truths about the American teen experience.

When I first started reading, I really didn’t think I was going to like the main character but the journey he takes truly left me speechless. Michael Thomas Ford utilizes characters that everyone will recognize from their lives. I wouldn’t want to ruin the twists, but this story is beautiful. It made me laugh, cry and do some self-reflection. If you like a book that really digs deep and uncovers truths about yourself that you did not know you were hiding, you’ll love this book.
