Blurb of the Week: “What Feasts at night”

T Kingfisher’s “What Feasts at Night” is a sequel to “What Moves the Dead” and is part of the Sworn Soldier series. I loved reading it and I read the entire book in one sitting.
I was not a fan horror or gothic fiction; however Kingfisher’s books have slowly dragged me deeper into the genre. The book follows the main character, Lieutenant Alex Easton, as they head to an old hunting lodge with their valet Angus and friend Miss Potter after their last adventure at the Usher Estate.
However, something weird is going in the village after the death of a local who worked at the hunting lodge.
This book is a beautifully written horror short story that really helps build the tension till the monster shows itself and when it does it is worth. Much like What Moves the Dead, I highly recommend this story to everyone even if they don’t like horror but for people that like horror or old folk lore. This is a great book, and I can’t wait for the next book to come out.
