What is it?
We dedicate ourselves to helping countries in need by building critical infrastructure. Our club is involved in every step of the project. This includes fundraising, design, technical paperwork, and the construction of the project itself. Travel for the projects occurs during Winter and Summer breaks and typically we have six students, a mentor and a civil engineer with a professional licensure.
Who can join?
Even though it’s called ENGINEERS Without Borders we accept ANY major, since a lot of our work does not require engineering-related experience.
Upcoming Events
Grilled Cheese Sale at “The Gym” Bar (April 5th, 26th) both start at 10:00 pm, Mudfest Brat/Burger Fundraiser April 6th from 11am-5 pm, at Memorial Park, EWB Color Run (May 4th) in Memorial Park, any student or faculty looking to participate can use the code STUDENT, or FACULTY for discounted prices.
When are our meetings?
Meetings occur weekly on Tuesday at 5pm in Busby 208. We rotate every week between committee meetings and general meetings.
Note from president:
I decided to travel to Adumasa, Ghana in January of 2023. We were the first group to travel for EWB since the COVID outbreak, so we were lacking guidance from previous travelers. It was intimidating traveling with so many unknowns but was by far the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had. Meeting with the community and being able to address their concerns and make a difference in their life was a fulfilling feeling. I made many friends during my limited time there and enjoyed lots of great food. I would recommend to anyone interested in traveling to do it. Opportunities like this are limited and there is no better time than now.
