Student Senate to begin regular column
Senate providing updates every few weeks
My name is Elliott Manuel and I am the Director of Marketing and Engagement for Student Senate here at UW-Platteville. This column will serve to keep the student body informed on what is happening in Student Senate throughout the year. With the new school year underway, Student Senate is looking to address several issues on campus including public transportation, library hours and renewable energy. All three of which were referendum topics that appeared during April’s student body elections. These discussions will begin when Student Senate meets for this first time this year on Sept. 9. If you are interested in making a difference on campus and would like to join Student Senate, we encourage you to pick up an application in the Pioneer Involvement Center. Student Senate meets every Monday night at 5 p.m. in the University Rooms at the Markee Pioneer Student Center. Our meetings are open to the public and we welcome everyone to join us.
