Are you getting bored from shows with seemingly the same plot? “Happy!” is an action-packed drama that is sure to entertain. The show follows the wild adventures of Nick Sax, an ex-cop turned hitman.
Sax stumbles through life surviving on alcohol and drugs, hoping that one of the many groups out to get him finally win. All of the death and violence is offset by his daughter’s imaginary friend, Happy, who joins Sax’s life after Hailey is kidnapped.
The flying blue unicorn, complete with his very own theme song, becomes Sax’s life coach, helping him defeat Very Bad Santa, save kidnapped children and take on a corrupt children’s show.
This ultraviolent show is unlike any other as it uses themes from various serial killers, mob stereotypes and deranged comedy to bring out acts of heroism and hideously refreshing humor.
If you are up for the challenge, “Happy!” can be watched on Netflix, but, beware, once you start watching it, you won’t be able to stop.
