Members of the Pioneer band perform and Lambeau Field for the halftime performance of the Packers game on October 2.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Marching Pioneers and the UW-Platteville Dance Team performed in the halftime show for the Packer vs. Viking’s game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Oct. 2.

The groups had been practicing the piece for the halftime show for the past two weeks, which is an abnormally shortened time to memorize a full six-minute march. To add to the pressure, about 80,000 spectators watched from the stands and approximately 12.87 million viewers tuned into the game.

“I had no idea what to expect. I’ve never been to an NFL game before,” Ben Roys, sophomore Marching Pioneers equipment manager and snare drum player said. “It was pretty exciting walking out there. [Lambeau] was something else.”
