On Oct. 18, the Academic Staff Senate held their biweekly meeting. 

The topic of salaries was brought up and discussed by Human Resources Manager Jessica Wright. “On Nov. 1 the full pay scale salary structure from UW Systems for all TTC titles will be posted,” Wright said. Town Hall meetings will be held Nov. 9 from 3-4 p.m. and Nov. 18 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for those who have questions about the salary structures. The next deadline for title appeals is Nov. 30. The deadlines for submitting goals and finalized criteria checks for staff performance evaluations is Nov. 15. Wright informed the senate that this week was the deadline for benefit enrollments.

Tollefson brought up that there was $11,000 available for professional development programs. The deadline for proposals is Nov. 5. He went on to discuss the Administrative Assembly meeting recap from Oct. 13. Topics discussed included the University Bias Incident Team; 22 incidents had been reported since July 2021. They are trying to raise awareness regarding acts of hate or violence that occur on campus and where you can report them. Sesquicentennial Hall construction is on schedule. Construction of the Physician’s Assistant Program office on the first floor of Ullsvik started this week. COVID-19 updates are happening once a week on the campus dashboard. A vaccination site is running in Royce Hall on Thursdays, with testing Monday through Friday in Hugunin Hall. Pre-registration required.
