‘I will always be with you’

Peace overwhelms your sea of worries

Living apart from You, life is desolate;

A hostage screams inside cemented brick walls,

       Suffocating in an iron cage

Waiting helplessly for an escape

My friend, 

When you walk through the deep ocean waters

and underground tunnels,

I am with you

Parental manipulation stripped me of my innocence

Broken lungs coarsely try to suck in oxygen

And God says, 

‘I am with you always and forevermore.’

      You, you hear my cries?

Yes, dear child,

Be strong and courageous

Come, and hold My hand

I will be your comfort

Your love is like a waterfall, 

        gracious

     Blue waters flowing harmonious and free

My peace I give to you

Let not your heart be troubled, 

Nor let it be afraid

Teach me Your ways,

      Oh, Jesus

And God says,

I will guide you 

Into all of truth

Because I am the Way, 

the Truth, and the Life.
